It has been brought to my attension that rides organized on this board and those organized on QT are being "watched". In the future all meating places are to be PM'd to trusted members that are interested in going. The source I have on this is reliable. For your own good and the well being of future rides please take heed.. Do NOT post meeting times or places in open forum.

Really??!! Some people need to get a life and mind their own business... but I guess they think we destroy the environment and that is thier business. Maybe they should check out the pine barrens cleanup section?

Am I a trusted member still? Even though I havn't been to the Pines since the 2003 Clean-up run. I'm the one who winched that boat out.

I was wondering where that boat went. That's the one that was in the little water hole near Pedricktown Road? Can't remember the name of the main road that goes through there.

Not sure of the name but it runs from Atsion Rd to Chew Rd running by goshen pond.

We are currently having the same problem here in Alaska. Our site and a few from Anchorage are being watched.  Sounds like some one has no life.

Okay. Let's not beat around the bush here. Can someone let me know, either here or through PM, what this is all about? I don't know who the "trusted" members of this board are supposed to be and if there's something going on where people are showing up to rides and doing something I don't want them to be doing, then I'd like to know about it so I can be prepared incase I happen to invite one of those people along for a ride without realizing it. I mean, what's keeping these people who are "watching" from joining the site and becoming a trusted member that I send a PM to?
And what specifically are we talking about here? Environmentalist who are attacking wheelers and leaving them for dead on the trail? Drunken wheelers who are tagging along and then wrecking the trails? Weirdo forest dwellers hiding behind trees looking to re-enact scenes from Deliverance? What are we talking about?
I don't mind abiding by the rule to not post meeting information, but if this rule is for my own safety, then I'd like to be in the loop as to what I'm being kept safe from. If I have to be prepared to go W.W.F. on somebody I meet out on the trails, then I'm okay with that. Especially when it comes to beating off weirdo forest dwellers. Trust me. Where I'm from, we're skilled in the art of opening up a can of  when it's called for. But I'd like to know in advance...especially BEFORE I decide to do something like invite my neices along for a ride...because I don't like surprises and the weirdo forest dwellers would only find that out the hard way. 
But ultimately, I'm the one who is responsible for the safety of myself and my passengers, so I'd appreciate it if somebody would do some bean spilling and clue me in. Assuming I had a Jeep that was actually running, you guys would never let me take it wheeling with a flat spare, so don't go holding out on me now.

Relax, you are taking this the wrong way. These are some problems that can happen if you post meetings openly:
1. You post a ride and get four PMs from people that are going to show up. The next thing you know 20 people show up because someone saw the post and decided that he would tell everyone he knows.
2. (I have never seen this or heard of it) A ranger is checking out the board and decides he has nothing better to do that morning. The next thing you know he is at your meeting spot checking out every rig there and giving everybody a hard time.
3. Some one shows up and Acts like he is like he is into the whole wheeling thing but only sits back and takes pictures all day. The next thing you know those pictures are used against any one who was off the trail, in a mud hole that is questionable, or something that's just not right.
I'm sure other people can add to the list. I have been wheeling the pines for a long time and have never ran into anybody that is out there to do harm to anyone. I have run into some strange people but no one to worry about.
